Cultural Humility Sessions to Build Competency Training of Pro Bono Attorneys to Represent Diverse Low-Income Clients
November 12, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The COVID-19 Network presents a complimentary training: Cultural Humility Sessions to Build Competency Training of Pro Bono Attorneys to Represent Diverse Low-Income Clients.
The training will help pro bono volunteers learn the skills to better serve diverse low-income clients. It begins with three 20-minute on-demand modules (available now) covering an introduction, intersectionality, and language access.
This is followed by a live one-hour session that is scheduled each month through June 2021. These sessions aim to build skills in cross-cultural representation of diverse low-income clients by building on the learning, lessons, and questions from the previous modules.
Participants are asked to watch the modules at their convenience, prior to participation in one of the live sessions, and send their questions and reflections after each module to [email protected] and [email protected].
More information and the links to the on-demand modules and additional training materials can be found at: nysba.org/attorneytrainingculturalhumility/
All Live Sessions are held on Zoom
